  1. WORDZEE is a VERY challenging letter-dice word game. The object of the game is
  2. to fill all categories, in all games, and accumulate as many points as
  3. possible by forming word(s) and letter combinations as defined in the scoring
  4. section of the playing board.
  5.  
  6. In this game you roll the letter-dice, up to 3 times, until you have a hand
  7. that fits into an open category on the game board. You are actually playing 3
  8. games at one time. Each game is identified by the number at the top of the 3
  9. columns in the scoring area of the playing board.
  10.  
  11. NOTE: In the 2 or 3 word formations, each letter can be used only ONCE and in
  12.       only ONE word. You must use a space between words.
  13.  
  14. You will have the choice of selecting the category AND game to place the
  15. points you have accumulated, based on the words or letter combinations rolled.
  16. When deciding where to strategically place your points, bear in mind that
  17. points are tripled if placed in the 3rd game, doubled if placed in the 2nd
  18. game and actual points if placed in the 1st game.

  22. All words formed will be checked against a dictionary. If the word(s) formed
  23. are not found in the dictionary, they will be rejected. It is possible that
  24. you will find words that should be in the dictionary. If you do, notify the
  25. Sysop ask him/her to report them to the WORDZEE author (Al Lawrence), who in
  26. turn will update the dictionary and publish a new one.

  28. Amongst all the letters on the dice you will encounter ONE Wildcard. The
  29. Wildcard will be represented by a question mark (?). The question mark (?) can
  30. be used to complete a word or letter combination. You will be asked to input
  31. the substitute letter and this letter will carry NO POINT VALUE. The question
  32. mark (?) can be placed in the exact position that the substitution letter
  33. will occupy OR you can actually substitute the letter when you enter the word.
  34. (Ex: You can enter  LOS?   or  LOST

  36. There are two (2) areas where you can earn BONUSes. The first area is the
  37. UPPER scoring BONUS. In each game you will receive a 35 point bonus when the
  38. scoring for that particular game exceeds 45 points. The second area is the
  39. WORDZEE BONUS. You will receive a 100 point bonus for each WORDZEE (7-Letter
  40. Word) you form after filling ALL the WORDZEE categories with either a score
  41. of 0 or 50 points.

  45. A SAVE feature is incorporated into the game and will be automatically invoked
  46. when you quit the game. The next time you play the game your saved game will be
  47. retrieved and play will continue from that point.

  52.  (2) - (6)      Words entered in any of these categories must have the EXACT
  53. LETTER WORDS    number of letters called for and must pass the dictionary
  54.                 lookup check. Scoring is the total of the point values for the
  55.                 individual Letter-dice used.

  57. UPPER BONUS     You are awarded a BONUS of 35 points in each game where the
  58.                 total upper points exceeds 45 points.

  60. ONE - THREE     Entries in these categories must conform to the number of words
  61. LETTER WORDS    called for in each category and MUST pass the dictionary lookup
  62.                 check. Scoring is the total of the point values for the
  63.                 individual Letter-dice used.

  65. CONSONANTS      If the combination of Letter-dice forms 7 consonants, a fixed
  66.                 score of 25 points will be entered in the game you have chosen.

  68.   VOWELS        If the combination of Letter-dice form 7 vowels, a fixed score
  69.                 of 25 points will be entered in the game you have chosen.
  70.                 NOTE: The letter 'Y' is both a consonant and a vowel.

  72.   WORDZEE       WORDZEEs are 7-letter words. A fixed score of 50 points is
  73.                 awarded in the game you have chosen after passing the
  74.                 dictionary lookup test.

  76.   BONUS         You receive a 100 point BONUS for every 7-letter word formed,
  77.                 provided each of the three(3) WORDZEE categories contain either
  78.                 0 or 50 points. You must spell out the word and choose the
  79.                 WORDZEE category to receive the points. If you are awarded the
  80.                 100 point BONUS you are then returned to the prompt to form
  81.                 whatever word(s) you can in open categories/games.
